Adrenal Insufficiency
Adrenal Insufficiency (IA) is a pathology of different etiology that is associated with low production of glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids, hormones produced in the cortex of the adrenal glands. One can have several types of adrenal insufficiency and also several classifications.
Adrenal Hyperplasia
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia affects a child's normal growth and development. Although it can be life-threatening, most people with this disease can lead normal lives with proper treatment.
If not treated quickly, an adrenal crisis can be fatal.
It is a medical emergency.
